OSCE – The Supplementary Human Dimension Meeting
The third Supplementary Human Dimension Meeting (SHDM) this year, organized by the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), is taking place from 9 to 10 November.
The main theme of the event, “Freedom of Religion or Belief: The Role of Digital Technologies and Civil Society Actors in Advancing This Human Right for All”, proposes an analysis of how the right to freedom of religion or belief is respected at the level of the OSCE region, existing opportunities to develop this right so that all people can benefit from it, as well as challenges that prevent this goal from being achieved, including the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event is attended by experts, representatives of civil society and OSCE participating States. The meeting is broadcast live at https://www.osce.org/odihr/shdm_3_2020.
