European Network of National Human Rights Institutions

ENNHRI is the European Network of National Human Rights Institutions. Its purpose is to strengthen the promotion and the protection of human rights all over Europe, by joining together all the national human rights institutions to enable them work together on a large area of human rights issues and assist them develop.

National Human Rights Institutions (NHRI) are independent bodies with the constitutional or legal mandate to promote and protect human rights. They are the core element of a strong and efficient framework of human rights at international, regional and national level.

ENNHRI brings together 42 NHRI from all over Europe, including Ombudsman institutions, human rights commissions and institutes. You can access ENNHRI’s webpage here.
