Association Francophone des Commissions Nationales des Droits de l'Homme

The Francophone Association of National Human Rights Commissions (AFCNDH) was born as a result of the recommendation build a network of national human rights commissions laid down in the Declaration and draft Plan of Action adopted on 3 November 2000 in Bamako in the framework of the International Symposium on the assessment of democratic practices, human rights and freedoms in the French speaking area.

The Association’s purpose is to strengthen links and cooperation among the various national human rights institutions, based on the idea that all can learn lessons from each one’s experience.
