Meeting with the representatives of World Health Organization
On November 12, 2019, the Romanian Institute for Human Rights received the visit of a team of researchers from World Health Organization (WHO), within the project which aims to evaluate long-term care services. This is carried out in collaboration with European Centre for Social Welfare Policy and Research Austria and emphasizes gender equality issues.
Thus, the project for the implementation of the European Framework for Action on Integrated Health Services involves improving the outcomes in terms of quality of patient care, from the perspective of effectiveness, efficiency and equity, addressing the several challengesencountered in long-term care procedures by integrating the medical and social sectors. Contributing to the implementation of strategies and action plans, the project brings together the following fields: the provision of health services, healthy aging, caring for people with disabilities and long-term care, as well as equity of social factors, gender and rights of the population.
